Feb. 14th, 2020

Happy Freezing Friday!

It is the coldest Friday of the year so far! I hope everyone is having a cozy and warm time with family and loved ones.

This week's been so much fun with year ahead day and Valentine's spirit day along with the 100th day of school!

In Grade2:
-We had a fun year ahead day activity (in grade 3): find someone who ("trouve quelqu'un qui") that helped us learn new fun facts about each other, and taught us how to ask a question in French.
-We learned some vocabulary related to Valentine's day and love.
-We made a valentine's card with all the things that we love.

In Grade 3:

-We learned how to use the imperative tense "l'impératif" to give orders (year ahead day in grade 4). And we had fun making up orders and partenering with each other to give each other orders and executing them!
-We talked about things and people we love and how to remind them that we love them in French.
-We made a cute Valentine's drop down card.

In Grade 4:

-The grade 4 students enjoyed some grade 5 work in French with Mme. Stella for year ahead day.
-We continued to learn how to use the imperative tense and wrote instructions for a recipe to make a French dish "Quiche Lorraine".
-We did some fun Valentine related word search and each one of us got to write down on the board in a heart one thing or person we love.

Wishing you all a happy Valentine's day and a very long weekend!

Sincerely,
Mme. Rawan
